Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Hi! Im double checking this is ok. Show is from 1997. I didn't see what ripped the CD. It all sounded ok/ no errors.

AUD -> Core Sound Binaural Mics -> Sony TCD-D8 -> DAT > CDR > EAC > FLAC

Thanks!

I made a post in the Staff forum and asked the Moderators to not delete these purely because of lineage issues, to send the links to me so I can listen before a decision is made. If it sounds good, it'll be allowed.

If anyone is an Audiophile and/or has Mastering/Remastering experience and can quickly tell a FM/SBD/Matrix from an Audience recording, and can judge the quality of an Audience recording, please PM me if you'd like to become a Moderator. If you have strong objections to there possibly being a bittorrent forum for Lossy recordings here in the future, you may want to skip sending that PM.

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

That would be a huge mistake, in my opinion, and completely the opposite of what TTD has stood for since day 1.

Well, I'm not sure, but I see it circulates a step down from that to eMPty3 here:
https://u2start.com/shows/879#!audio

"Love Comes To Adelaide"

Origins: Soundboard
Credits: Danny Best (Manufacturer)
Lineage: [soundboard] > CD-R [Danny Best] > EAC > .wav > MKWACT > .shn > .mp3
They also have another source listed with lineage that states specifically silver CD, so this may have originated as a CDR boot. So, it might work with that notation...
But there's no telling from the lineage that you have whether it's really a CDR(0) "master" boot rip with EAC, or an unknown gen CDR(x) copy of a copy of a copy badly burned and not securely ripped in link 3 of the cdr(x) chain blah blah woof woof rip, so I'm not sure if you can remanufacture a lineage out of thin air to make it work for here... ...?

I should have answers, but all I have are more questions. Sorry!

Thanks Audioarchivist
it's hard with old shows that have been shared before the torrent days, the lack of information is great.
but I know this much that 90% of my U2 is from one and the same source but a long time ago, would a Spectrum Analyzer help anything, because it is not mp3
