Re: DVD burning question
If this was a dvd9 (dual layer - 8.5GB) disc and you are trying to put it on a dvd5 (single layer - 4.7GB) disc you will need to compress it with DVDshrink. If you won't to split it up you will lose the menus. I think DVDShrink can do this also.... but someone with more experience may need to comment on that.

Re: DVD burning question
i just explained how to split a dvd9 into two dvd5's here.. http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...460#post260460
DONT shrink this video..trust me, it's a huge difference in quality wise for this particular show...just follow the directions for ifoedit in the above link, it's easy No members have liked this post.

Re: 2plies dvd into normal
"Double DVDs" are more commonly called "dual layer DVDs" or "DVD9s". Normal DVDs are called "DVD5s".

Re: 2plies dvd into normal
I was under the impression that all players supported dual layer discs. Does your player have any problems with movie DVD's that you have rented or bought? A great many, if not most are dual layer. Especially if they have lots of extra features. Are the DVD's -R or +R? Maybe your player has a problem with one of those formats or with burned DVD's in general.

Re: 2plies dvd into normal
All players support dual layer, but not all burners are capable of burning dual layer.

If so that's a 2 disc show, Full Size: 10.14 GB won' fit on 1 disc.

Each set is a separate DVD9.

Re: Question about DVD9
That answers the question in this case.
I think garrettt3 was thinking if he had set 1 and set 2 of a show. Both being 4 gb why couldn't he just put both sets on one cd. He said he was having a problem with two VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB etc in the same folder. You need to author the DVD as a DVD9. You cannot simply put both folders in the Video_ts. It's a pain to reauthor if you don't have a fast computer so it's not worth it IMO. Plus dvd9's are much more expensive so that's another reason for the time being. No members have liked this post.
