NTSC or PAL

Hi

If I have a DVD that I want to seed, how do I know if it is NTSC or PAL?

Re: NTSC or PAL

There are several ways to do it. Perhaps there is a simpler one than this but this is what I do. Open IFO files with a program called IFOEdit. Look at the lines of text in the bottom window. You'll see several lines indicating either NTSC or PAL. The good thing about this program is that you can convert NTSC to PAL or PAL to NTSC to suit your needs.

Google for IFOEdit. It's free.

Re: NTSC or PAL

Any app that'll give info on the VOB files within...25 fps is PAL and 29.97 fps is NTSC. ffmpegX & MPEG Streamclip will certainly work.

Re: NTSC or PAL

Washac, you can use MPEGInfo_0.2 on a Mac to determine if it is NTSC or PAL. It also gives you the video and audio bitrate which we want when you seed a DVD.
