How to "copy" Flac Fingerprints onto the upload audio page?
I seem to have everything else about starting a torrent, but when it asks for my flac fingerprints (which I DID include in the torrent), I have NO IDEA where to find them to "copy" them onto the Upload Audio Torrent page.
Any help is greatly appreciated! No members have liked this post.

Re: How to "copy" Flac Fingerprints onto the upload audio page?
Open them in notepad. They are a text file. When I do my torrents, I copy and paste them into the info file from tlh, then copy the whole thing into info on the upload page, copy and paste them into the st5 area. I delete them from the info portion before I up.

I don't know why, but there is no text file with the fingerprints. Just an .ffp file to check the files.

Right click on the .ffp and choose "open with notepad."

Re: How to "copy" Flac Fingerprints onto the upload audio page?
When you create the .ffp file in traderslittlehelper, you have the option to save it as a text file as well as just a .ffp file. Some folks will save a .ffp file AND a text version of it to their flac folders. Some folks will only save a text version of the ffp file, but I recommend against that, as some trackers will the not detect a checksum file and auto-disallow an upload.
This is how I first did it before I learned the "right click on .ffp file > open with > notepad" way. No members have liked this post.

It is an .ffp file, but right click and open with Notepad.

You can also change the .fpp suffix to .txt if you can't figure out how to right click and open with notepad or wordpad...

Changing the file extension from .ffp to .txt worked.
Thanks for all the help, folks!! No members have liked this post.

Re: How to "copy" Flac Fingerprints onto the upload audio page?
Exactly, because "text file" simply means that each byte in the file corresponds to one of 95 printable or 33 control ASCII characters (or whatever standard is used), regardless of the file's name or extension. You could rename it Bullwinkle.J.Moose if you wanted to, it would still be a text file.

BTW, you'll still need a .ffp file in the torrent - maybe make a copy to change suffixes so as not to screw up the torrent with missing / altered info... Don't make a 99% error by screwing up a file!
