Hey guys. Is there any way to get more than 80 minutes ona "disc" that will play in a regular cd player? I know about dvd-audio but want to play it on a cd boombox. Thanx, bry

Re: extended play cd,s

There are many lossy ways to do it if the player handles the formats. If you mean in .wav format 16/44,100, I don't think so.

You can "overburn" a few extra bits of data onto a data disc but I have no clue if an overburnt disc would play on a standard CD player.

90 and even 99 minute cd-rs exist, for an example:

You would have to try if they burn/play on your gear.
As they are outside the Red Book (Audio CD) specifications, imho I would only use them for personal use, not for trading.

Re: extended play cd,s

Iīve recently burnt 81 or 82 minutes on a standard Verbatim blank using Nero or EAC several times, even older players didnīt have problems with it.
