Re: dvd playback problem

what nero program are you using? don't use smart start or vision xpress

open Nero Burning ROM.
select DVD and "DVD-Video" as yer disc type.
drag *all* of the files from the show's Video_TS folder to the red Video_TS folder in the project window [.ifo, .bup, & .vob files]
burn away

Re: will play on computer, but won't play on dvd

What is your OS? What application are you using to burn the DVDs? Are you burning VIDEO_TS folders? And, do you have a DVD player that plays both PAL and NTSC videos and are you only burning PAL/NTSC (whichever your player will play - computers will play both)?

Re: dvd playback problem

do you have access to a standalone you can test the disc on? maybe they work better there.

also, try creating .md5 checksums off the disc and compare those with what came with the seed.

OS? i'm sorry i do not know what that is. i use nero to burn my dvd's. i've had a ton of success with the stuff i've downloaded here. i have recently d/l some official release dvd's from another site. the files that i d/l are like, for example, the u2 chicago dvd that i d/l came in like 86 different parts. i had to use winrar to extract the 1st file. when i did this it extracted the whole dvd into a folder. when i opened the folder there was an audio folder and a video folder. i used my nero and opened the video folder to burn to dvd. after it was done it didn't play on my dvd player, but my computer. any suggestions?

(OS - Operating System)

When you used Nero to burn the Chicago VIDEO_TS folder, did you do it in the same manner that you burned downloaded shows from here? I'm not much help when it comes to burning DVDs on a PC. Perhaps someone else will come make some suggestions.

Re: will play on computer, but won't play on dvd

are you burning with nero in data dvd mode or video dvd mode?

the video dvd mode will set up the folders for you and everything, couldn't be any simpler. it also makes small changes to the .bup and .ifo sometimes that might solve your problem.

Re: dvd playback problem

you don't have to convert the files to an iso

just burn a video dvd with nero, put the files that belong in the VIDEO_TS folder in the VIDEO_TS foler then burn

by test the disc on I mean see if it plays properly.. are you saying it jumps around on your standalone, too?

sometimes a dvd will jitter a bit on a comp that doesn't have enough horsepower, that's why I suggested trying it out on your home dvd player. since nobody else seems to have this problem I think it might be something with your computer
