Can anyone help me (technical question)?

Hi all

For some reason, I am suddenly unable to successfully create and post a torrent here on TTD (it's an artist that's aloowed here but not at that "other" site). I do all the same steps I've taken in the past; but now, rather than pointing to a folder (in this case with two subfolders with FLAC files plus a txt file and two checksums), the torrent I create keeps pointing to a single 650MB file with a long (64 character?) title of hash (i.e. random letters and numbers). The size of the file is correct (i.e. approximately the size of the root folder of the show in question) but it's a file, not a folder. Even after I download the personalized torrent file from TTD, no one can connect to me, or at least no one can download from me.

I hope I have adequately explained the situation; does this sound familiar to any one? Anybody have an idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can lend.

Sounds like some sort of settings issue of the program you use to create the torrent file with. What program are you using to create the torrent? Have you tried using another program?

I use utorrent, and have for years. I've never had an issue, and haven't changed any settings. I will dive deeper, I just thought the symptoms might ring a bell for someone. Thanks guys, any help greatly appreciated!

Just to close this thread....the issue was that the "create encrypted" box got checked by mistake. Unchecked it, and I'm back in business.
