.vob dvd authoring

Howdy

I have been looking around the archives trying to find a solution, but to no avail, so i must start a new thread.

I have some .VOB video files that I need to add a menu to and I don't want to have to convert the .VOB files to .MPEG and ruin the quality. Are there any programs that allow you to author dvd's with .VOB files?

I have Sony DVD Architect and Ulead Video Studio 10, as well as Tsunami-MPEG DVD author, but none of those seem to work with them.

Any help/redirection/insight will be graciously accepted.

Re: .vob dvd authoring

Vobs(Video Objects) are mpgs chap. They are interleaved audio & visual.

Right, you say you have Tmpg Author....thats the easiest for you
OK.instead of loading the vobs 1 at a time, use the Source Wizard and load the whole VIDEO_TS folder. The lot...yes that folder that has IFOs,& Bups in it as well.

No ifos or bups??

You can also actually just change the .ext from vob to mpg.Load individually and now author.Don't worry it will play non-stop.

I do have .IFO's and .BUP's, I just didn't know if they would be needed.

As well, being able to rename them is a good bit of trickery.

Thanks for the help, solved all my problems!
