Warning-Newb Questions about Downloading

Just learned how to connect and download, and successfully downloaded a show but when I listened to it, the files sounded damaged. I ran the MD5 tool and none of the files passed. I tried another torrent, got it to download and the same issue again, the files were even more damaged and would not even play. I checked the FAQs and the groups for some info but did not see anything mentioned about this issue. The only thing I noticed was that after I connected, the torrent would pause itself, I would restart and after a few repeats of this, it would eventually complete. Thanks for any help

Re: Warning-Newb Questions about Downloading

Sounds like your downloads didn't finish. Open your BT client again, point it to the folder you have and see if it goes to 100% for each show. If not it will tell you how far it got and you can just leave it open until it's done.

You can also get TorrentSpy (google it) and check it without opening the BT client. Just drag and drop the .torrent file onto its desktop icon and point it to the show you want to check. It will tell you which files are complete or not.

She's talking about 100% done and seeding here. Many clients will count up from 0% to 100% as they check your files, but at the end they will either go into Seeding Mode (you are done downloading) or will go to a lower percentage and say it is now continueing the download. Don't get confused because it hits 100% the first time.
