Confused Newbie trying to upload a torrent..

I have done what I thought needed to be done to start sharing a video concert. I get this message...

YOUR SHOW WAS SUCCESSFULLY UPLOADED
You must download your personalized torrent before you may begin seeding.

What am I missing.

Do I need to actually download the video_ts file also? Or just the torrent from my computer?

Thank you in advance

Sudburbian

Re: Confused Newbie trying to upload a torrent..

You need to go to the torrent thread, & download the torrent file attached there. Then use THAT torrent file to open in your client & point to the directory where you have the DVD files. You have to use that torrent file from the thread, not the original one you created. Check the FAQ for more info.

Re: Confused Newbie trying to upload a torrent..

It's easier than it sounds:

First, you made a torrent file when you posted. You uploaded that torrent file.
Second, once you get that happy message you got, you download the torrent file from the site, and in your torrent program, you tell it to save where your files you want to share are.
Third, the torrent program will check your files (they won't have to download - you have them) and will check to 100% and begin seeding...

That's the gist of it, I think, right?
